Here we are the middle of August already, where does the time go? If I didn't love our Whistler summer so much, I'd probably be OK with the inevidable upcoming change in season, if we just had a few more fabulous Whistler summer months.
We had a very busy week in Whistler with the final weekend of Crankworx, a 10-day mountain bike festival show-casing endurance, flow, monster air and vertical-drop riding. Crankworx just celebrated their 10 year anniversary, this festival is so much more than just mountain biking, the 10 day event is combined with concerts, contests, kidsworx, demo's, clinics and parties. No wonder Crankworx was voted Whistler's Best party of 2012.
Another fabulous local event was the Slow food cycle Pemberton, this event is a celebration of food, local farmers and pedal power. It's your opportunity to meet local growers and sample fresh produce straight out of their fields all while enjoying a scenic pedal through the Pemberton Meadows. All we are missing are the vineyard stops along the way.
On a Whistler Real Estate market note, it was a slower week than usual with only 14 new Whistler listings, 11 price changes and 10 completed sales. I think most people are enjoying the last few weeks of summer. On a positve note the outlook is for a busy fall so if you are considering buying or selling please feel free to contact me.
Have a great week.
